‘Lights of Remembrance’ Holiday Event Honors Loved Ones While Raising Funds for St. Joseph Healthcare

Ceremony Held on December 5th at 5:30pm in the Hospital’s Demaso Lobby

Bangor, Maine – November 12, 2018 – St. Joseph Healthcare cordially invites the local community to attend its annual ‘Lights of Remembrance’ holiday event. Attendees are welcome to donate and have a loved one’s name added to our holiday display in the hospital’s Demaso Lobby.

Donors who contribute at the $25 Tribute Level will have both the donor and honoree recognized at the event and on display through the holiday season. In addition, a special commemorative ornament will be sent to the donor or honoree for every Tribute gift. Donors contributing at the $100 Perpetual Tribute Level will appreciate the same benefits of $25 donors, however, they will enjoy having an engraved ornament hung on the hospital’s Christmas tree for years to come.

“This commemorative event has become a lovely holiday tradition here at the hospital,” shared Mary Prybylo, MSN – Covenant Senior Vice President and President, St. Joseph Healthcare. “We enjoy hosting the occasion as it marks the beginning of the joyous holiday season and we deeply appreciate the community’s support.”

The Christmas tree lighting ceremony, which welcomes all, will be held on Wednesday, December 5, and will begin promptly at 5:30pm in the Demaso Lobby, which is inside the hospital’s main entrance on Broadway. The festivities will include the official lighting of a beautiful Christmas display, caroling with the St. John’s Children’s Choir and a visit from Santa Claus.

All funds raised will directly benefit St. Joseph Hospital patients. If you’d like additional information or you’re interested in honoring a loved one by making a donation for a ‘Lights of Remembrance’ ornament, please contact the St. Joseph Healthcare Foundation office at 207.907.1740 or contribute at
