St. Joseph Hospice Schedules Another Tapestries a Grief Support Group Series in March
The loss of a loved one is not a journey you need to experience alone. St. Joseph Hospice offers a caring and compassionate grief support group called Tapestries for adults who have recently lost a spouse, child, parent, sibling, friend or other loved one.
Another eight-week Tapestries support group begins Thursday, March 1, 2012.
Led by bereavement support specialists, Tapestries is an opportunity for those grieving a loss to come together and find support during one of life’s most difficult experiences. The group is supported by the generous donations of St. Joseph Healthcare employees, physicians and trustees who strongly believe in the need for this program. Through education, activities and communication with others who understand what you’re going through, our support group can help you recover and move forward. By better understanding the bereavement process and learning how to care for yourself while grieving, you can begin to heal and rebuild.
Tapestries is a small, intimate group led by professionals with topics ranging from recognizing your grief triggers to creating a “new normal.” Through a variety of healing opportunities including journal writing, meditation, education and group activities, Tapestries offers something for everyone who is grieving.
No one should experience the grieving process alone. For more information about joining this unique healing opportunity, please call Renee Hunter LCSW and Bereavement Coordinator for St. Joseph Hospice at 907-1810.
