Susan M. (Sue) Bernier
Executive Director of Philanthropy, St. Joseph Healthcare Foundation
Sue joined St. Joe’s in 2016 to lead the Foundation toward new levels of philanthropic support and diversity of funding. Her career in philanthropy spans 20+ years, including serving as professional fundraising counsel to Maine nonprofit organizations. Emily Shubert Burke
Born and raised in Bangor, Emily holds an undergraduate degree from Bowdoin College, a Master’s degree from the University of Connecticut, and is a Certified Gift Planning Professional. She is currently chairwoman of the board for Penobscot Foundation for Developmental Services and is Co-Chair of Maine Discovery Museum’s annual auction. Emily lives in Bangor with her husband, two young children, and pokey puppy.
J. Bradford (Brad) Coffey
President, St. Joseph Foundations and Covenant Health Foundation
Brad leads philanthropy for Covenant Health Foundation and its members, including St. Joseph Foundations. Brad was hired in 2015 after spending 15 years raising philanthropic support for healthcare and higher education. He has been an attorney licensed to practice law in Maine since 1993 and is a graduate of the George Washington University and the University of Maine School of Law. Foundation Coordinator, St. Joseph Healthcare Foundation
Julie came to St. Joseph Healthcare Foundation in the fall of 2015 as a temp employee through a local temp agency and officially joined our team at St. Joseph’s in December.
