Center For Sleep Medicine
The Center diagnoses and treats a range of sleep disorders including obstructive and central sleep apnea, narcolepsy, restless leg syndrome and periodic limb movement disorder. Tests are performed in our comfortable, four-bedroom Sleep Center near St. Joseph Hospital. Each patient bedroom is designed to simulate a home atmosphere, complete with remote control television. During sleep, state-of-the-art equipment monitors each patient’s EKG, brain wave activity, breathing and other vital signs. Once a polysomnogram (sleep study) is completed, results are interpreted by a physician who will make treatment recommendations to the patient’s referring physician.
The Center for Sleep Medicine invites anyone to meet the staff and tour the facility on weekdays during normal business hours. Just call ahead and we'll set up a date and time that's convenient for you. Click here for more information.
The Center offers Support Group meetings at various times throughout the year for patients and their family members or anyone interested in learning more about sleep disorders and treatments. Check our Calendar page for information about the next support group meeting.
We also offer a physician-prescribed CPAP Desensitization Clinic to help patients using CPAP to maximize their comfort level with their therapy. Patients or their physicians can call us for more information about this service.
